SPLASH PAGE
Ah, another Piczo site, charming. It isn't too bad, although there's no need for the scrollbars on this splash page. There's a small statement above your enter sign that I don't quite understand - "sorry for it being blocked for a long time, it was because i couldnt have any close for a blend and kept changing it and i finaly chose one in the end... xxx " - close? What's that? Do you mean clothes? Finally has two L's, by the way. Apart from this, your splash page isn't too bad at all - it's tidy, with a pleasing colour combination. You might want to add some site requirements though, as that is the general purpose of a splash page. 7/10
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I'm impressed - your site differs from every single Piczo site I've seen, in the fact that there's no useless horizontal scrollbar. Nice one. You've chosen some good colours, and your navigation is easy to spot. This isn't looking too bad at all! 8/10
LAYOUT
First, lets talk about the font. I'm uncertain of the name of the font that you've used, but it looks awful. It's all bunched up, with the letters overlapping and it seems cut off at the top. I strongly suggest changing the font to something more readable! Your layout is quite simple in structure, but you've banished it to the far left of your page, leaving a black void to the right. If layouts could talk, yours would scream at you from the top of its lungs "Centre me! Centre me!". So, who's Rachel Bilson when she's at home? Some eight year old schoolgirl lolita judging from the picture...oh, she's 24? (Thanks, Google!). Interesting stuff. And I thought *I* looked young! Love the black/white/grey you've used - it looks good! Overall, your layout isn't too shabby. I know, I write like I'm surprised. To tell you the truth, I am. Every other Piczo site I've reviewed has been unbelievably crap in every way possible - yours isn't. Well done. Just start centreing your layouts, thats all. Oh, and ditch that godawful font, would you? 15/20
CONTENT
It was quite disappointing that your content loads on completely new pages, with seperate layouts. Then again, I've yet to see a Piczo site that makes use of iFrames. The first page, "Etcetera" contains an ample amount of layouts and graphics. You've stated that the majority of these were not made by you, unless they have your name on it. Well, it's good that you've been honest! Unfortunately, I could not find any made by you, so I'm not going to review them. After all, I'm supposed to be reviewing YOUR work, not someone elses. "Sisters" - is this page important enough to have on its own? I'm not too fond of the blurring effect you've applied to the Nicole Ritchie pic, though. On your sister site application form, there are two grammatical errors located on clauses 3) and 4). "Ans" needs to be corrected to "and", and "tnanx" is "thanx". In actuality, it's "thanks", but hey, I was young once too so I'll let you off on that one. I'm nice like that. You know that isn't true, so lets quickly move on before I stray even further off topic. Next section - "Scribbles" - this is essentially a page containing several links in which visitors can leave their mark, so to speak. "Grafiti" has an extra "F", by the way, and "addys" and "webbys" should have "ies"'s on the end instead of the "y". "Show your support" contains links to the usual generic charitable organisations around - although it was hard to make these links out what with them being mid-pink, against an almost transparent table. "Creulty" is spelt "cruelty". It is touching that you've included such pages at your site, you're a compassionate girl. "9/11" - this page is very nicely set out, with a picture of the Twin Towers on either side, with a body of text running down the middle. You expressed your thoughts concerning this incident very well, and it was nice to know you'd written it yourself, instead of copying and pasting it from somewhere. "Wu" is spelt "who", and "whatch" is "watch", however. "Child Abuse" - I've seen that Misty poem doing its rounds through the email over the years, *yawns*, but I see you've replaced several components of the text with sloppy chat speak language instead, replacing "ats" with @'s, "too/to" with 2, etc. The "Animal Creulty" (Cruelty) page really opened my eyes. Good on you for exposing Iams like that!! Bastards! I could almost cry right now, and I mean it. Unlike most things in life, I actually feel quite strongly towards animal cruelty. (I was a member of PETA a few years back, and was involved in a campaign against using animal fur for clothing). Well, we buy "Whiskas" cat food at my house anyway, but still! Jesus Christ!! I can't believe Iams carry out such horrific experiments on animals, that is absolutely disgusting. Don't forget to change "whatch" to "watch" for your Meatrix video link. "Haters" - I admit it took me a while to decipher all the text-speak lingo displayed on this page, not really from you but from the losers who are hating on you. They've obviously got nothing better to do, but considering your site is one of the better Piczo sites out there I can see why they might be jealous. Is it really a good idea providing a tagboard specially intended for the haters to run riot? It's like bringing the animals their zoo. "Top 10" - a list of your ten favourite Piczo sites, in no particular order. The colours you've used on this page look nice, although they'd look even better on a light pink background. 14/20
SUMMARY
You've inadvertently raised the standards of a Piczo site, in my view. By that I mean you've slightly raised my opinion of Piczo sites, without you really realising you have done so. I was expecting yet another shitty pagebuilder site with stolen content, graphics, and scrollbars at a length that would rival that of the Great Wall Of China. Sure, the spelling errors mounted up in their masses, and your layout needs to be centralised, but apart from that I have no reasons for complaint. You've definitely got the potential, so keep up with web design, I think you'll go far if you put in the hard yards.
