Well, first of all I have to say thanks ever so much for your wonderful message to me, flying off the handle regarding a review I recently completed. I realise you're obviously desperate to start drama, but next time why not start it over something that actually exists, instead of skimming through my review, jumping to a false conclusion and then rarking me up on something I'm not guilty of doing?

Hi. Just commenting to say that I found the review of Sin-Shadows quite offensive to people of my age group. It says that the mispelling and bad grammar use should be left to people aged 12 - 13 years old that you class as 'teenyboppers', and I just wanted to say that whilst this may be true about some piczo webdesigners, it definitely isn't true for all. I am 12 years old (just) and go to a grammar school, therefore not ALL 12-13 year olds can't spell and spend all their time using phrases such as y'all - thank you very much!

Claiming that you go to a grammar school means nothing to me when, judging from your comment, your reading comprehension skills leave a lot to be desired. If you had read the review then you would have had nothing to bitch about, because NOWHERE in the review do I insinuate that all 12-13 year olds cannot spell to save their lives. How dare you accuse me of quote, "saying that the mispelling and bad grammar use should be left to people aged 12-13 years old". Where did I say that? Oh yeah - nowhere.

I've had a look through my review to try and see where the heck you're getting these assumptions from and I found this:

"Your content - if you could even refer to it as that - is chock full of shabby tutorials, a truckload of unlawfully obtained celebrity images that you claim as your own, and even some random scripts chucked in for 'good measure'. At 17 years old there is no excuse for not knowing any better than this. If you were say, 12 or 13 I would maybe have been a little nicer about it, but again, you're 17 - you should know better than this. It's time for you to grow up and leave this crap for the little-uns who don't know any better."

Did you even read this properly? Obviously not. If you had read it properly you would have realised I was referring to the teenyboppers - and I'm not the only one who refers to them as such - who are known to run celebrity graphic infested, poorly coded, tutorial ridden websites and are more likely than not to possess a poor command of the English language. Often this particular group of people use Piczo as a web host. I assumed people would realise that I was only referring to a certain group of these young-uns. I have reviewed a number of sites created by people in your age group that are original and interesting, and completely void of the crappy aspects I mentioned above. I'm slightly offended that you took my comments in the blockquote as a generalisation about young people. I'm sorry that for some strange reason you decided to read between some non-existent lines and become offended as a result, but there was really no need for you to be. That's the only thing I'm sorry about. I'm not sorry for the comments you accuse me of making because I did not make those comments in the first place.

When I saw your name I knew I'd seen it before somewhere, and it didn't take long to realise you're in my queue. Good a time as any to review you, right? No doubt you'll treat this review as some petty kind of 'payback' or something, but I'm simply reviewing your site because it's in my queue, and because your comment reminded me that it was.

nav I take it you're an Internet Explorer user? Your link stylings are not showing up on Safari or Firefox, so right now they represent an ugly, default-blue coloured mess. Your CSS is not rendering correctly on these browsers because you have failed to link your stylesheet correctly in your head area. To fix this, you need to replace...

This: <LINK REL=stylesheet HREF="style.css" TYPE="text/css">

With this: <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" type="text/css">

It's important to realise that not everyone who visits your site will be using the same browser as yourself. It's crucial to check your site in the other main browsers such as Firefox, Opera, and Safari. To do this, check out Browsershots.Org.

Webmiss

This page consists of a detailed survey followed by a couple of pictures. It would have been better if you'd included a write up about yourself first - just a few paragraphs if you like. Surveys etc are fine, but not first and foremost. It's always better to include at least a brief write-up beforehand.

Under zodiac, you ask whether or not you spelt Pisces correctly. Yes, you did! I'm not sure why you've used double ampersands throughout your survey...what's wrong with just the one?

In the write up (that you'll hopefully be adding soon) you could go into further detail about some of the things you've mentioned in your survey. Explain more about your hobbies and the things that you love. You say music is your life - well, what genres are you into? Which bands? Which songs are your favourite?

Domain

You've set out this section more appropriately, starting with a list of basic facts and eventually followed by a write-up at the end. Under Site History you need a capital P for Piczo, since it's the name of a teenybopper web host. Oh my gosh, I said the T-word! Try not to nut out at me this time, okay?

You also need to watch your I's - this letter is always capitalised no matter what, and in various places here (and under Site Name too) you've been using lowercase I's which is incorrect. In the final sentence, change My Dad then bought me Total-Trauma, So here i Am! to My Dad then bought me Total-Trauma, so here I am!

Your current layout features a picture of a rose? I'm not seeing it. Must be because your CSS isn't displaying correctly.

You go on to list your Past Layouts, all six versions featuring the likes of Scarlett Johanssen, The Olsen twins, Cameron Diaz (that's a new one!) and the like. Is your current layout the first one that does not involve celebrities? Good for you if it is.

Content

Content? So what have the other sections been? Content = collective term for all of the sections your site has to offer. This page is better off being renamed to something along the lines of "Visitor", "For You", "Goodies" etc.

Pixel Text contains a message saying that this page is under construction and will be up by the 15th of February if not before. Today is the 15th of June. You need to take this link down and only put it up again once the content is actually there. Same goes for the Iframes, Scrollbars, Reads, and Contests/Competitions pages.

My Stories - an excellent addition to this section and a prime example of original content. My So-Called Fairytale was interesting to read. I enjoyed it. All you need to do here is change the title of Chapter 7 from Their Genious Plan to Their Genius Plan. Is this story based on a real life event at all?

Etcetera

"Just Random Things", the subheader says. Most if not all of these 'random things' can be stored elsewhere. Affiliate Application, Purchase Advertising (!!) and My Hostees would be better off in the Domain section, and the Plugboard stored under Content.

As for the Review Site link, you could even have this link on your navigation system instead. Kudos for stating the link opens in a new window by the way.

Well that brings me to the end of your review. Your site isn't bad for someone your age, especially since you haven't had a great deal of experience in web design. I've seen a lot worse from people several years older than yourself. No one expects an all-round successful site from someone who's only just stepped onto the scene. The only real advice I can offer you at this stage is to 1) Correctly link up your stylesheet so that your links render correctly on non-IE browsers, and 2) concentrate more on providing original content for the visitor, as well as setting out your Webmiss section in a more appropriate manner. It takes time, experience, and a shitload of mistakes along the way before you can really improve your site to a great extent, and in time I have no doubt that your site will be one to remember.
